I have a li'l confession to make...

...I've not bought any Magnolia stamps for a while. The reason? I stopped liking them...

I still loved the old ones I had, but the new ones? I just didn't like 'em... I loved what I saw everyone else do with them, but knew I wouldn't be able to do that gorgeously, shabby thing that seemed to suit them.

I finally 'fessed up to a friend who, after throwing stones at me for such blasphemy, very kindly stamped up some of these summer ones for me.

And yeah - I do like them. I don't think I'll ever feel quite the same about them as I once did, but their place in my inky heart has been re-established.
Now I just need to work on the fact that I have this new issue with flowers - anyone else think they just look kinda weird?

Hugs,

Flowers wierd??!! Since when woman!! That's blasphemy in itself in this house. As for the Magnolia stamps - I am soooooo with you on this one. I think I've only bought one or two from each collection for at least the last year. I do think they are getting better though. Great card. I am now mentally blocking what you said about flowers. Lol Lynn ♥

Leann, hunny, it's you.. You're not feeling well. Take two aspirin* and go lie down in a darkened room for half an hour. You'll be right as rain, I promise.

* Chocolate & wine are also effective therapies.

Hugs,
Dr Chris xx

P.S. You did a fab job with this card, which is symptomatic of it all being a 24 hour bug.

My name is Jo and I too confess to stop loving Magnolia stamps and stopped buying them and just relied on those lovely kind crafty buddies of mine to supply the odd few I did like !!!

Not with you at all on the flowers - yours just look fantabulous ! I adore all your flowers, you make them look so modern looking (if that is the right lot of words to use ?). Adore your card.

Have a fantastic weekend hun.

Hugs,

Jo xxx

Hi leann...Do you know what...I know where you are coming from....I love the vintage look that goes with Magnolias, but I can't do it. I like clean lines and bright fresh colours that go with the modern image better, so I just use the ones that go best with my style. I think the trick is stick to the original ones you love and find something new to mix'n'match.
I have to go off and do something else every now again just because I get a bit bored of doing the same sort of card. I tend to use flowers if there is a flower in the image...I'm not keen on flowers on seaside themed cards.
Good for you for speaking out!
