I made it for the new Anyone for Anya challenge: Sugar & Spice & All Things Nice - the idea being that I've used all my things nice for it. Do go for a peeksie at the challenge here, some of my all time bloggy fave girls are there.


And see that utterly gorge looking delight from Kim? That's mine. It arrived in a beautiful parcel of yumminess last week & now sits on my 'puter desk - thank you sweetie!

Once upon a time...

... I had the mad, crazy idea to start a blog...

The very first challenge I joined in with was Papertake Weeklys' very first challenge - so when I saw that it's their 100th challenge this week, I had to join in!

Their first challenge was swirls - so I dug out some swirly pearls {heehee - such things didn't even exist back then!} and kinda followed Sketch 19...and yeah, I couldn't help but pull out the MME and a Pixie... ;)

Papertake will always have a special little place in my bloggy challenge heart - thanks for 100 posts of inspiration girls!

Thank you all for your messages, support, stone throwing, advice & secret squirrel emails after yesterdays post - glad I'm not the only one!
Lynn - I'm trying to get over the weird flower thing, todays card was covered in them just for you. Lubs ya!

I have a li'l confession to make...

...I've not bought any Magnolia stamps for a while. The reason? I stopped liking them...

I still loved the old ones I had, but the new ones? I just didn't like 'em... I loved what I saw everyone else do with them, but knew I wouldn't be able to do that gorgeously, shabby thing that seemed to suit them.


I finally 'fessed up to a friend who, after throwing stones at me for such blasphemy, very kindly stamped up some of these summer ones for me.

And yeah - I do like them. I don't think I'll ever feel quite the same about them as I once did, but their place in my inky heart has been re-established.
Now I just need to work on the fact that I have this new issue with flowers - anyone else think they just look kinda weird?

Just a little note...

...Love the latest sketch over at Sketch & Stash challenge, I twiddled it a little though to fit a square card :)


Now the whole point of the Sketch & Stasher's is to get us using up our new or neglected stash...errrrrrr, not sure I quite managed that bit... ;)

The hugely talented Rach made a card using this Magnolia fence and Swiss Pixie Heidi - it was such a perfect combination I had to try it too. Thanks for the inspiration Rach!

I suppose the MME is from a brand new pack {no, I'm not gonna admit how many of these I've actually bought} and li'l Gretel here has been kinda neglected in favour of Heidi...Did I convince you yet?


Ah well, guess I'll stop making excuses for myself - check out the fabby sketch & DT examples here - thanks for the challenge girls!

Floral Fantasy...

...Thought I'd whip up a card for this week's SpoonFull of Sugar challenge - I've been shying away from blooms recently {no idea why!} & figured doing a challenge that involved flowers would get the bloomy mojo back on track :)

I've used this gorgeous Sarah Kay image cos I want to say a big thank you to everyone who's been in touch about the Stampavie thing - I'm calling it the Stampavie thing & not shouting joyously from the rooftops just yet for the simple reason it hasn't really sunk in & I'm still pretty shocked 'bout it...when it does sink in I promise I'll start the shoutin'... ;)
