spotty babies!

found out today that some good friends are expecting their first little munchkin ~ congratulations gareth & phil!
so obviously the first thing i did was make them a card...

the arty girlz challenge this week is to use spots/dots or circles ~ i want extra points for the spotty paper, rounded corners & rather round lola!

papers & images from pink petticoat, ribbon from little silver hat, swirly ribbon clip {oooh, another circle!} from poppicrafts

two pics today!

first pic is my card for this weeks Magickdiva challenge ~ something for the men. with a family where the boys definately out number the girls i always need male cards!
i used oh so very yummy BG mellow papers, everything else i found lying about on my {very messy} desk!

second pic is of something for christmas ~ woooo hooo! i actually made something christmassy!
it's a door {or wall!} hanger ~ so so cute! again this was mostly made with scraps, cardstock is all bazzill, paper is a bit of leftover DCWV, i printed out the sentiment, stuck on Rudolph {cut from a cute little die of a friends} & then just added a few bits of ribbon & buttons {must try to make something without ribbon or buttons one day!}

brilliant Steph has also left me smile award ~ it's a super smiley day!
i've been pondering all day over who my 10 should be and i STILL can't choose! so once again i'm going to cheat {my blog heaven place will definately be under discussion now!} EVERYONE who visits me makes me smile, so you all get the smiley award!

that super lovely all pink girl has sent me a smile award ~ thank you Dawn!
i'm now supposed to send it on to 10 other bloggers who make me smile ~ how do i only pick 10?! you all make me smile! so i'll have to get back to you on that one ~ unless of course anyone wants to leave a comment asking for the smile award!

when i saw this weeks stitches challenge over at Arty Girlz i got really excited & had all sorts of big ideas about my new role as a seamstress. "so where ARE the stitches?" i hear you ask ~ look very, very closely, i just about managed to sew the buttons on...

santa's magic key...

here's my card for this weeks Daring Cardmakers little extra challenge, which is to make a christmas card with words as the focal point.
i've seen lots of these "magic keys" about & thought it'd be sweet to put one on a card!
i'm soooooo pleased i've managed to make this ~ every time i go for a blog-hop i see so many lovely christmas cards & all it does is remind me that i REALLY need to get my crafty christmas mojo going!

bazzill cardstock, pp & pressie sticker DCWV, ribbon little silver hat, button & key from my li'l bits basket, verse printed on my pc

Tagged...

well, i've been tagged by the super-talented Louly ~ thanks!

Here are the rules :1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.2. Share 7 facts about yourself: some random, some weird.3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs.

1: i love books ~ anything will do, i've never been a brilliant sleeper so spend my nights tucked up with a book instead.
2: i have a serious passion for cadbury's dairy milk.
3: i live in a tiny welsh village, right by the seaside!
4: i have a phobia of birds.
5: i truly believe that robbie williams will one day be mine!
6: my eldest son has a habit of sneakily pinching my craft stash.
7: i sucked my thumb until i was 12.

will have to break the rules a little now & not tag anyone ~ all the bloggy peeps i know seem to have already been tagged recently!

paint...

at work last night i was asked to make a card for a new baby girl. ok i said when do you need it? the answer ~ well we're going to visit them tomorrow...
don't think i did too bad considering the rather late hour!
i took inspiration from the Caardvarks challenge which is to use paint on your card.
everything i used came from my scrap box, including the image which i found already stamped ~ that's a bit organised for me!

have a lovely sunday!

answers on a postcard...

hooray ~ another one! (those of you who left comments saying how addictive this is are absolutely right!}
Daring Cardmakers want a postcard & you have to send it to someone. so this is going to a lovely neighbour who happily signs for any parcels that arrive when i'm at work ~ thank you! seing as they live so very close & there's no post at the mo (aaarrrgghh! why now when i'm waiting for a huge stack of basic grey goodies & some scrummy tilda's?), i think i'll hand-deliver it!

sentiment from pink petticoat , pp & ribbons by making memories, cardstock was found on my son's desk {the perfect colour!}, everything else from my li'l bits basket.

a great big thank you...

to everyone who welcomed me to blogland! it was wonderful to sign in this morning & have so many lovely comments from such super talented people ~ thanks girls!

i did another one!

had to make a new baby card anyways & this sketch on Di Hickmans blog was perfect ~ i wanted a simple, not-at-all fussy card, that was still pretty ~ hope i managed it! pic's not brilliant, sorry! the quote says "a new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, and a dream of possibilites" sweet!

pp is DCWV, bazzill cardstock, quote tag by my mind's eye, ribbon little silver hat, button from my li'l bits basket

my first challenge!

hooray ~ i've done a challenge! this is for the new Papertake Weekly Challenge. i love the stuff these girls make so thought i'd pick this lovely new challenge group to kick off my lovely {ahem} new blog!
pp & image from pink petticoat , ribbon from little silver hat

blog lurker...

well, after much lurking around other people's blogs i decided i really should get my own! this also means i can actually join in with challenges instead of just "oooh"-ing & "aaaah"-ing everyone's gorgeous creations!

{i must just point out though that i'm shockingly awful with computers, so who knows what nonsense will end up on here...}
