Whoo Hoo!

I have a happy little card to share today - and it feels like there's a LOT to mention about it for something so small!

First up the theme over at CCT is "Out with the old!" - we want you digging through those stash mountains!

I unearthed this TGF stamp set (eeeek! I seem to remember buying this when it was released - I'm ashamed to admit it was still sealed in the packet...), some gorgeous MME Tickled Pink paper (again, still sealed) and I even gave my pencils an airing :)

There are a few new bits of stash on there too, though - the lovely Ribbon Girls very kindly asked me to guest design for them this month and here's my first card :)

You can find this gorgeously stripey twill ribbon, fab spotty button and a whole heap of other yummies over at the Ribbon Girl store.

This week they're sponsoring the Charisma Cardz "Celebrations" challenge - I think with that total look of glee on her face, my card fits!

Floral Frenzy? Too right...

This weeks CCT theme is 'Floral Frenzy'...

I have my suspicions that this challenge was set just to traumatize me.

It did.

Hopefully the damage is not permanent and I'll be back soon with my usual bitsa-string-and-absolutely-no-flowers-kinda-cards.

I had huge amounts of fun searching through the blog and after a lot of giggling settled on Challenge #37 - Snow/Snowflakes. 

The theme over at the Simon Says...challenge this week is also Let it Snow - thanks for the suitably frosty challenge and inspiration girls! {it started snowing on my way home from work - very exiting. No sign of the white stuff by the time I got back home though - not so exciting.}

Extreme minimalism...

...so this week's CCT challenge is "no designer paper" - you could have great fun with this and get makin' your own paper designs {think stamps/ink/paint/a bit of embossing, maybe?} or you could be a complete dullard like me and make something like this:

Not a lot I can add about my card - it's a super speedy make for our "Boyz to Men"** challenge {love it!} and it fits in rather nicely with this weeks Anyone for Anya? "Lotsa Layers" theme...other than adding that My Guy Ian can be found here, that's about it!

It's official...

What I actually said was "Can you also add that everyone who has word verification AND comment moderation switched on {why? seriously, WHY??!!} has been personally cursed by me and is destined to be miserable FOREVER."
That's why Caz writes up the posts - no-one would ever join in if it was left to me...

CCT is two today!!!!

We're celebrating our birthday by setting the theme of errrr...Celebrations - well really, what else could it've been?!

I don't think any of us expected to still be going two years down the line, but I'm so glad we are - I thought it rather fitting this week to make a card that celebrates friendship cos I love them CCT girls ya know {see? even I can get sentimental at times...}
There weren't many card challenge blogs around when we started {rather hard to believe these days} and the ones there were took themselves a bit too seriously for our liking - we wanted everyone to remember that crafting's s'posed to be fun and really shouldn't have "rules" (good job, or I'd've been shown the door long ago).

Soooooo, wanna come join in the Celebratin'?
Course ya do - but go have a giggle at the samples we made for our very first challenge here first *snort*

Mornin' all, hope today's starting off a good 'un for ya :D
It's Thursday!!! So that means we have a brand new challenge over at CCT

We've gone Ribbontastic over there this week and I figured that rather than go all girly, I'd go for a boys card with ribbon, somethin' different ya know?
No really, I did - it's not because my "flowers are weird" thing has now become a "flowers and ribbon are weird" thing...
not at all...

Not convinced? Luckily the rest of the DT aren't as freaky as me and have made some truly gorgeous ribbony samples for you all - go take a peek!

The card that nearly killed me...

...no, really - can you imagine the heart-stopping-oh-my-god-I-need-to-remember-to-breathe reaction this weeks CCT challenge caused? Flowers? Do I have to?

For those who don't know, I have flower issues. I love them & have piles & piles of them in my crafty space - I adore the creations I see that are beautifully covered in them and stalk the Prima blog in a rather worrying way, but me put 'em on one of my cards? Nah, they just look weird...

So I kept it simple and used the same layout as I did on the Cuddle Up card a few days ago.
And d'ya know what?
I likes it!
Well apart from the flowers, they look kinda weird...
