You are my sunshine...

A little card with two of the week's challenges in mind - A Spoon Full of Sugar & Crafty Catz both have an animal theme this week...

Yet another to-the-point oh-so-brief post I'm afraid - the sun's out and I plan to enjoy it!
Happy Saturday :)

Jingle all the way...

I have a quick little card to share today using the super-cute Dearest Deer from Stampavie.

I managed to squeeze in two challenges for this one too - A Spoon Full of Sugars' "Christmas Card" and  I Love ProMarkers' "Christmas Carol/Song" - see the little bell tied on to the bow? Every time I see those bells on my desk I start humming Jingle Bells :)

Speaking of Jingle Bells, the big Horror is leading the brass section of the school band in their Chrimbo concert next week. I've listened to endless renditions of Jingle Bells over the past few weeks. I am of course, very proud, but I swear, if I see him emptying the spit valve all over the carpet again I will be wrapping that freakin' trumpet round the nearest wrappable thing I can find...

Have a good 'un ;)

Christmas? I'm so over it already...

...which is why I'm sharing yet another Christmas card...
Yeah right, I'm so besotted with the Christmas Stampavie images I just can't stop myself - so you may have to put up with even more yet...
I made this li'l sweetie for the latest Spoon Full of Sugar challenge:

Cosmo Cricket "Mitten Weather" papers
Twill, twine & button from stash

A big, big thank you for visiting and comment-leaving - it really does mean a lot :)
My own lack of proper blog hoppin' lately has left me feeling very, very guilty...I'm sorry! I really do hope to remedy that soon.

Have a great weekend!

Christmas in August...

...is the theme over at A Spoon Full of Sugar and I couldn't resist inking up Penny Johnson's new "Dearest Deer" image again {hmmmmmm, if I'm not careful the other stamps'll be accusing me of favouritism}.

Enjoy your weekend!

Love Ya!

A little root around in a stamp drawer unearthed this gorgeous pair...I couldn't resist inking them up!
Then I saw the Freestyle challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar - my kinda challenge! - and thought they'd be just perfect for it :)

A day of decadence...

...is what I have planned - there's a cup of Fortnums tea, maybe a chocolate or two and the fantastically trashy new Dan Brown** waiting for me, so only a quickie post today!

Here's the gorgeous li'l Pumpkin Emma all autumned up for this weeks SpoonFull of Sugar challenge - Thanks girls for giving me the perfect excuse to ink her up and break into some of the new Pink Paislee Amber Road pp I've been stroking for the past week! This card was a real feat of masking patience for me and I'm still amazed that I stuck with all the cutting that goes along with masking! Along with Emma I've also used an old magnolia fence and some bits from the Sugarplum Halloween set.

Have a good Friday peeps!

**I must point out, to those of you who don't know, I will read anything. For all my dumb blond persona, I can actually quote Shakespeare, Chaucer, Shelley, Austen et al until you beg me to shush. I adore books - the cracking open of a new one, the smell of the pages, the way all those tiny letters have the ability to take the reader away from reality - and love nothing more than seeing people sat in a park, on a train, anywhere, utterly engrossed in a book. Mr. Brown may not be up there with the greats, but his fantastic brand of shock-trash has resulted in people missing their bus stop because they're lost in his words. That's genius.

Floral Fantasy...

...Thought I'd whip up a card for this week's SpoonFull of Sugar challenge - I've been shying away from blooms recently {no idea why!} & figured doing a challenge that involved flowers would get the bloomy mojo back on track :)

The inside...

I've used this gorgeous Sarah Kay image cos I want to say a big thank you to everyone who's been in touch about the Stampavie thing - I'm calling it the Stampavie thing & not shouting joyously from the rooftops just yet for the simple reason it hasn't really sunk in & I'm still pretty shocked 'bout it...when it does sink in I promise I'll start the shoutin'... ;)
Anyone who doesn't know what I'm wafflin' on about, go have a looksie
here... {it really is me - I clicked the link loads just to check!!!!}

Hugs,

I used one of the Pigsters' sketches for this card - you can find 'em all on this delightful bloggy here. Thanks Dawny!xxx

That Friday feeling...

Now I'm really hoping that at some point over the weekend I'll get a chance for a serious blog~hop ~ in between freezing my pants off at various Horrors footie matches, of course... {love the programmes they give out these days with *rules for parents* on the back ~ why can't I fight with other kids parents? why can't I swear at the ref?}

Anyway, I digress... ;)

This little cutie is for this weeks Spoon Full of Sugar Blooming Marvellous challenge, lots of lovelies from the DT this week so do go & have a peek :)
I used Di Hickman's gorgeous sketch for this card ~ love it so much I've already made another with it!

Happy Friday!

Fun & Games...

Here's a quickie I stuck together for this weeks SpoonFull of Sugar challenge ~ biggest thanks to my stamping Angel for the image, I promise not to come after you with that acrylic block just yet... ;)

Ribbons...

Due to my ribbon obsession, this weeks Spoon Full of Sugar challenge really appealed to me!
So here's my be-ribboned Sugar Nellie card {Ok so 2 of them are actually twill, but that counts, right?}

And because it seems like an age since I inked up this cute li'l fella, I made this super quick card too...

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Poxy Spots...

So this li'l fella has chicken pox {last weeks tiredness explained, the fact that he only has four spots hasn't made him any less grumpy...}

I managed to whip up this card for the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge ~ how stinkin' cute are these stamps?!

And this chap decided today that he's going to win us a few golds in the 2012 Olympics ~ he's suffering from swollen head syndrome after being told he has the potential to be a championship fencer. I've pointed out continously throughout the day that massive egos are not attractive, but he's having none of it ;)

A Spoon Full of Sugar...

There's another of Katharina's yummy sketches over at A Spoon Full of Sugar ~ here's my take on it :)

A very big thank to the fabbalicious Dawny P for this truly beautiful award.
Here are the rules that go along with it:
1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.
2. Link back to this blogsite so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women.
And remember the Purpose of the Award: To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.
Now I know this is going to sound like a complete cop-out, but I really do want to pass this on to everyone who comes to visit my blog! You all brighten my day, teach me new things & are generous in sharing your beautiful creations through your blogs ~ so it's for YOU, OK?!

That seems like a long ole bit of writing so I'll add a li'l close up of this sweetie to stem the dullness a little!

Happy Saturday!

A spoonfull of sugar...

There's a recipe over at A Spoonfull of Sugar this week ~ how could I resist?!
This was another quick make, I'll add a greeting as soon as I know where it's headed!

This has to be my favourite stamp at the mo ~ isn't she just gorgeous?!
